Sparta’s Ambassadors serve as the hosts and hostesses of the school as well as represent Sparta in the community. Candidates are selected through a robust interview process that involves teacher evaluations and a panel interview. The following criteria is considered when selecting Ambassadors:
* Reliability – A student is trusted to show up prepared, on time, and ready to tackle any obstacle.
* Conduct – A student is respectful of teachers and peers, follows rules, and displays a positive attitude.
* Academic performance – Although students are not required to maintain a certain GPA to be an Ambassador, they should endeavor to perform academically to the best of their abilities.
* Friendliness – Students are willing to engage visitors, new students, or community stakeholders in meaningful ways and demonstrate leadership qualities both on campus and off campus.
The Ambassador program is open to students in grades 9-12. Tryouts are held each April. For more information, contact Ms. Lowery, program sponsor.
